Throwback Thursday – First Employee of the Year Luncheon in 1997
In celebration of #ThrowbackThursday, the DFW Hospital Council (DFWHC) Foundation is traveling back to 1997 when we hosted our very first Employee of the Year Luncheon at the Wyndham Anatole Hotel in Dallas. That afternoon, Beck Weathers served as the keynote speaker, providing a moving presentation on his survival of a fatal 1996 Mt. Everest expedition detailed in the book “Into Thin Air” and film “Everest.” Weathers, who still works as a pathologist at Medical City Dallas, resides in Dallas with his family.
The DFWHC Foundation’s 24th Annual Employee of the Year Luncheon is set for April 23 at the Hurst Conference Center. The event is expected to sellout with 800-plus attendees honoring 140 employees from over 50 North Texas hospitals.
Be a part of this unique opportunity to honor dedicated hospital employees who have made a difference in our community. This year’s theme is “2020 Vision: A World of Opportunities,” with special guest Christine Cashen, the energetic motivational speaker who is a member of the CPAE Speaker Hall of Fame.
