Guests from UTSW, Texas Health and Medical City highlight “The Human Side of Health Care”



Episode 12 of the second year of the DFW Hospital Council’s weekly radio program “The Human Side of Health Care” was broadcast on Sunday on KRLD 1080 AM. The discussion focused on the modern phenomenon of “Sitting Disease” in front of a computer and “Compassion Fatigue” related to care for special needs children and elderly relatives.

Guests included:

Dr. Salman Bhai, Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology and Neurotherapeutics, UT Southwestern; Faculty Member at the Institute of Exercise and Environmental Medicine (IEEM) at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas;
Sherry Cusumano, Director of Community Education and Clinical Development, Medical City Green Oaks.

DFWHC President/CEO Stephen Love and KRLD’s Thomas Miller provided a North Texas COVID-19 update.

The radio program runs throughout 2020 on Sunday’s from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. CDT.
