Episode 39 of the second year of the DFW Hospital Council’s weekly radio program “The Human Side of Health Care” was broadcast on Sunday on KRLD 1080 AM. The discussion detailed COVID-19 booster vaccines, gallbladder safety tips and a revolutionary substitute for heart transplants.

Guests included:

• Dr. John Carlo, CEO at Prism Health North Texas;
• Dr. Kevin Waldrep, General Surgeon at Medical City Dallas;
• Dr. Brian Lima, surgical director of heart transplantation and mechanical circulatory support at Medical City Heart Hospital.

DFWHC President/CEO Stephen Love and KRLD’s Thomas Miller provided a North Texas COVID-19 update.

The radio program runs throughout 2021 on Sunday’s from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. CDT.
