Foundation’s virtual “Performance Improvement” event attracts 260-plus!

The DFW Hospital Council (DFWHC) Foundation’s educational “Performance Improvement” webinar “The Project Charter in Action: A Comprehensive View of Pre-Charter, Charter and Post-Charter Improvement Activities” originally broadcast on June 23 attracted 260-plus attendees. The webinar was approved for 1.5 CPHQ CE’s credits.
The live discussion included Tanya Stinson, Chief Executive Officer of Leaning Towards Change, LLC; and Shernette Kydd, PhD, Assistant Vice President of System Effectiveness at Cook Children’s Health Care System.
During the session, attendees learned how a hospital project charter serves as a foundational, working roadmap used to structure Quality Improvement (QI) initiatives, such as reducing patient falls and decreasing readmission rates. The project can outline Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-bound (SMART) goals while also preventing issues that can appear across busy clinical departments.
The event was recorded and you can view the webinar here.
