Foundation’s IQSC Data Summit virtual event has now been posted online



The DFW Hospital Council (DFWHC) Foundation’s 5th Annual Information and Quality Services Center’s (IQSC) Data Summit originally broadcast November 3-4 has now been posted online.

The Summit was highlighted by Dr. Philip Huang, director of the Dallas County Health and Human Services, serving as keynote speaker to discuss the challenges and analytics utilized for COVID-19 data collection.

Additional speakers included Gloria Kupferman, chief data strategy officer of the American Hospital Association, to discuss a national Opioid study; and Mary Ann Contreras, the Injury Prevention and Trauma Outreach Coordinator at JPS Health Network, presenting on the implementation of a real-time data collection tool to help identify sex trafficking.

Sessions also included:

• “Data Governance” with John Vo, Manager of Clinical Data Management, Methodist Health system, and John Brower, Manager of Epic Data Analytics, Methodist Health System;
• “Executive Analytics – What’s Important and Not” with Michael Sanborn, President/CEO, Baylor Scott & White All Saints Fort Worth;
• “An Ecosystem for Health Equity & Community Improvement: 1+1=3” with Dr. Mari Tietze, Myrna Pickard Endowed Professor in Nursing, UT Arlington.
