Foundation to host Feb. 7 “Behavioral Health Network” webinar

Would you like to learn first-hand how a U.S. health system resolved issues with inappropriate admissions while improving behavioral healthcare for patients? The DFW Hospital Council (DFWHC) Foundation in association with Blaze Advisors will discuss this growing healthcare trend during the complimentary webinar “Creation of High Performance Behavioral Health Network” on February 7 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Mike Rhoades, CEO of Blaze Advisors and Marya Upchurch, a healthcare population risk data and technology strategist, will serve as speakers for the event.

The webinar will be a great opportunity to understand the utilization of data from hospital encounters to define the population contributing to the over-use of the emergency departments and hospital services.

Additional topics include:
• Models for aligning medical, behavioral health and substance use providers with community-based organizations to create a coordinated network;
• Tools to match behavioral health patients with the appropriate services and monitor them to create a system addressing their multiple needs;
• Discussion on how this network is evolving and its impact on key metrics.
