Discussion on Omicron variant and guests from Texas Health highlight “The Human Side of Health Care”

Episode 48 of the second year of the DFW Hospital Council’s weekly radio program “The Human Side of Health Care” was broadcast on Sunday on KRLD 1080 AM. The discussion detailed the surging Omicron variant of COVID-19, new surgical procedures for carotid arteries and an inspirational story of a local immigrant turned physician.

Guests included:

• Dr. Yinn Cher Ooi, Endovascular and Cerebrovascular Neurosurgeon at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth;
• Dr. Cesar Dias, Emergency Medicine Physician at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth.

DFWHC President/CEO Stephen Love and KRLD’s Thomas Miller provided a North Texas COVID-19 update.

The radio program runs throughout 2021 on Sunday’s from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. CDT.
