UTA to host webinar “Promise and Pitfalls of Health Technology” on March 21

UT Arlington will be hosting the complimentary webinar “The Promise and Pitfalls of Health Technology: Implications for Patient Safety” tomorrow, March 21 from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m., CT. The event will be highlighted by speaker Dr. Steph Hoelscher, an associate professor in Informatics and HIT Emerging Technology and Translational Science. There will be 1.5 CNE contact hours available.

Objectives include:

1. Describe the existing positive and negative trends that impact health IT on clinicians and patient safety;
2. Discuss experiences where health IT has negatively impacted the healthcare provider and the patient;
3. Devise a list of action items to mitigate the negative impact of health IT on clinicians and patients.
