Six Sigma Green Belt classes continue this week

Stephen Griffin

The DFW Hospital Council (DFWHC) Foundation is hosting its continuing series of Lean “Six Sigma” presentations with green belt classes from April 9-12 at offices in Las Colinas for 29 participants from hospitals across North Texas. Stephen Griffin served as this week’s instructor.

Sponsored by the Hospital Improvement Innovation Network (HIIN), Six Sigma’s Green Belt Certification is a program providing advanced insight into the techniques of improvement methodologies. The training provides introductions to process management and teamwork while enabling individuals to achieve objectives. Participants gather data and work together in problem solving exercises.

The DFWHC Foundation previously hosted the Six Sigma Yellow Belt classes in 2016 and 2017 with a total of 70 attendees participating.

Patti Taylor of the DFWHC Foundation’s Patient Safety and Quality Committee served as official host to attendees.
