Last chance to register – NTX Nurse Educator event begins on Thursday!



The deadline to register for the virtual North Texas Institute for Nurse Educators is set for tomorrow at 5:00 p.m., CDT., with the sessions to take place October 15, 22 and 29.

The three webinar sessions will begin at 10:00 a.m., CDT and will be 2-3 hours in length. This year’s theme is “Empowering Nurse Educators,” with CNEs available for each session. This event is ideal for nurse educators in the clinical and academic settings, but all attendees are welcome.

There will be 14 sessions with more than 17 speakers. Topics include:

October 15: “Technology and Transforming Education for Nurses in Clinical and Academic Settings” – How has COVID-19 transformed nurse education?

October 22: “Identifying and Responding to Victims of Human Trafficking in a Clinical Setting and Impact of Pandemic on Domestic Violence/Human Trafficking” – Part of this presentation will fulfill state HB 2059 requirement for direct care providers in Texas to take one hour of continuing education related to human trafficking.

October 29: “COVID-19 Units – Resiliency and Caregiver from Hospital Employee and Student Perspectives” – A discussion on COVID-19 units in the hospitals including a patient care perspective for nurses and students.
