Judging completed for the 27th Annual Employee of the Year Luncheon!



The votes were cast and the judging was completed yesterday for the DFW Hospital Council (DFWHC) Foundation’s 27th Annual Employee of the Year Luncheon set for Thursday, April 24 at the Hurst Conference Center. It was a busy day as the 10 judges perused a total of 158 nominees, the most in the event’s history. The winners will be a closely guarded secret and will be announced for the first time at the luncheon.

Judges included young healthcare executives of North Texas and members of the ACHE of North Texas Board. Individual and hospital names were removed from the forms in advance and selections were based on the facts presented.

Judges included:

    Ryan Gebhart, SVP, President, Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Frisco at PGA Parkway;
    Kris Sanders, SVP Northern Market Growth and Development, Children’s Health;
    Sharita Butler, Vice President Clinical Programs, Children’s Health;
    Kevin Greene, CEO, Cook Children’s Medical Center Prosper;
    Cody Hunter, President, Methodist Celina Medical Center;
    Crystal Brown, VP Operations/COO, Methodist Mansfield Medical Center;
    Cassandra Self, Professional Services and Finance Officer, Texas Health Resources;
    Chad Collins, VP Operations, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano;
    Amanda Thrash, President, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Allen;
    Martin Marshall, Assistant VP, University Hospitals Support Services, UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Themed “Show Us Your Best!”, this year’s luncheon will honor 14 recipients from hospitals across North Texas. For over two decades, the DFWHC Foundation’s Employee of the Year Luncheon has honored more than 1,410 exceptional hospital employees. The luncheon is designed to be a memorable afternoon for hospitals and their nominees.

Awards will include:

    • Employee of the Year;
    • Volunteer of the Year;
    • System Employee of the Year;
    • Physician of the Year;
    • Preceptor of the Year;
    • and the Rex McRae Scholarship.
