Foundation database detailed in online feature story
Research shows that congestive heart failure patients using a patient portal offered by a hospital or physician practice have higher engagement rates, lower hospitalization and readmission rates, according to an online story penned by Joseph Goedert in Health Data Management.
The research was achieved by utilizing data from the DFW Hospital Council Foundation’s database, with 100,000 emergency room and outpatient visits among congestive heart failure patients in the Dallas-Fort Worth area analyzed.
