DFWHC Foundation’s mental health “Recovery Workshop” set for Jan. 23
The DFW Hospital Council (DFWHC) Foundation’s Community Health Collaborative (CHC) will be hosting its “Recovery Workshop: ROCC Stars Unite” program on Sunday, January 23 from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m., CDT.
Working with UT Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW), the Association of Persons Affected by Addiction (APAA) and the National Alliance of Mental Illness North Texas (NAMI), the program creates awareness and educates participants about the key concepts of mental health and addiction recovery.
This complimentary virtual seminar is interactive and is suitable for all participants no matter their background or experience.

The program is supported by the Community Mental Health Grant Program from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC). The Community Mental Health Grant Program was established by House Bill 13, 85th Legislature, Regular Session, 2017 and authored by Representative Four Price. The 86th Legislature appropriated $45 million in 2019 to continue the Community Mental Health Grant Program in 2020 and 2021.
