DFWHC and UTA webinar “Improving Provider Practice Outcomes” has been posted online
The DFW Hospital Council (DFWHC) and UT Arlington College of Nursing and Health Innovation complimentary webinar “Improving Provider Practice Outcomes: The Case for Community-based Data Analysis for Actionable Results” originally broadcast on September 29 has been posted online.
Speakers included Dr. Charles Johnson, Director of Academic Advising at UT Arlington; Dr. Mari Tietze, Myrna Pickard Endowed Professor at UT Arlington; and Stephen Love, President/CEO of DFWHC.
Healthcare providers are becoming more aware of the impact that community characteristics have on the patient’s health. Some call it “the social determinants of health” or “health inequity.” Regardless, the trend is for these community characteristics to be considered when managing a patient’s health-based condition. Data is becoming increasingly available to support this effort and it can impact provider outcomes. The presentation was aimed at demonstrating one way this can be accomplished.
