Agenda released for Nov. 6 IQSC Data Summit



The official agenda has been released to the DFW Hospital Council (DFWHC) Foundation Information and Quality Services Center’s (IQSC) Second Annual Data Summit on November 6 at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas.

This year’s event is themed “Analytics to Action!,” with 11 speakers, six sessions and more than 15 hospital abstracts detailing recent data projects.

Agenda highlights include:
8:30 am to 9:30 am – “Analytics to Action” with Keynote Speaker Dr. Priya Devapriya of the UNT Health Science Center

9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. – “Show Me the Value!” with Vikas Chowdhry of the Parkland Center for Clinical Innovation

10:30 am to 12:00 pm – “Hospital Data in Population Health,” with Moderator Laurie Long of Texas Health Resources and panelists Alan Moore of Loopback Analytics; Molly Plummer of The Trust for Public Land; and Marsha Ingle of Texas Health Resources

1:00 pm to 1:45 pm – “DFWHC Foundation: Past, Present, & Future,” with Theresa Mendoza and Greg Shelton of the DFWHC Foundation

1:45 pm to 2:30 pm – “Diverse Interdisciplinary Research Teams and Secure Access to HIPAA Protected Data,” with Dr. David Gardner of Texas Woman’s University

3:00 pm to 3:50 pm – “Strategic Allocation of Community Based Resources through Geomapping,” with Don Smith of the United Way of Tarrant County; and Amanda Robbins of Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth.
