THCIC assessing errors for claims ineligible for THCIC reporting

The Texas Health Care Information Collection (THCIC) is assessing errors for claims identified as being ineligible for required state reporting. Claims with CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) and HCPC (Healthcare Common Procedure Coding) codes identified as required to report to THCIC are being assessed errors at System 13. The Dallas Fort Worth Hospital Council (DFWHC) and the DFWHC Foundation has worked with System 13 to determine the cause for this issue. After review, System 13 determined system tables had not been updated to include the required additional CPT/HCPC codes. These tables have since been modified. Users will not be required to resubmit files. System 13 will develop system routines that will re-spool the impacted claims errors through edits and remove the errors that were erroneously assessed.
