Why you should register for TQI’s May 11 Annual Conference

Discussing opportunities of the DFW Hospital Council Foundation’s Texas Quality Initiative (TQI), leaders of the organization sat down for a video to discuss its Annual Conference on May 11 at the UT Southwestern Medical Center’s William P. Clements, Jr. University Hospital in Dallas.

In the video, TQI Co-Chairs Dr. Baron Hamman of Texas Health Heart and Vascular Hospital, Dr. Steves Ring of UT Southwestern and Dr. James Edgerton of the Heart Hospital Baylor Plano detail why you should register for the upcoming conference.

This year’s meeting will be highlighted by a networking lunch with Dr. Jeff Rich, director of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. The conference is from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by the lunch with Dr. Rich from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. You must register for each event separately.

The mission of the TQI is to improve the quality of care for cardiovascular surgery patients, merge robust and risk adjusted clinical data with administrative data and leverage this ability to provide long-term comparative, cost effectiveness and quality outcomes research.
