North Texas Society for Health Care Risk Management has been reactivated

A membership drive to reactivate the North Texas chapter of the Society for Health Care Risk Management began this month and will continue until January 31. The chapter is open to health care risk professionals in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and New Mexico.

Established in 1980, the American Society for Health Care Risk Management (ASHRM) is a professional membership group of the American Hospital Association with nearly 6,000 members representing risk management, patient safety, insurance, law, finance and other related professions.

ASHRM promotes effective and innovative risk management strategies through education, recognition, advocacy, publications, networking and interactions with leading health care organizations and government agencies. ASHRM initiatives focus on developing safe patient care practices, the preservation of financial resources and the maintenance of safe working environments.

Board positions are also open. For information, please contact Annabelle.Zakarian@bswhealth.org.
