Life is a priority – “Active Shooter Training” seminar just one week away

Life is a priority. Active shooter events at a healthcare facility present unique challenges. Healthcare professionals may be faced with a decision about what to do with patients. Visitors will be present and patients or staff may not be able to evacuate due to age, injury or illness.

These topics and more will be discussed in just one week during the Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council’s (DFWHC) proactive presentation “Active Shooter Training: What to do in the Healthcare Workplace” on Wednesday, February 21 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas. The event is expected to sellout, so please register soon.

This complimentary seminar will include Captain Dan Birbeck of the Dallas County Hospital District Police Department discussing the Avoid, Deny and Defend (ADD) method that may help you and your employees escape potential workplace tragedy.

Hosted in coordination with DFWHC Associate Member Fisher Phillips, the seminar is ideal for hospital executives, employees and security professionals.
