Just five days until the Patient Safety Summit

The Dallas Fort Worth Hospital Council Foundation welcomes your participation in the 2013 Patient Safety Summit – Patients: the Heart of Healthcare. There are just five days until the event, scheduled for Aug. 14-15 at the Embassy Suites Dallas – DFW Airport North Outdoor World.

The Patient Safety Summit is an educational event to share best practices and provide networking opportunities in order to meet the goals of the Partnership for Patients, Community Care Transitions Programs and Hospital Engagement Networks to reduce healthcare acquired conditions by 40 percent and preventable readmissions by 20 percent.

Attendance is free for both live and virtual attendance via Web streaming. We understand travel can be a challenge for many interested in attending. We encourage you to share the option for your cohorts to attend virtually via webcasting.

Attendees are to register online and participate each full day of continuing education contact hours to earn — 5.75 contact hours Day 1 and 5.0 contact hours Day 2. Texas Health Huguley Hospital Fort Worth South is an approved provider of continuing education nursing education by the Texas Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. This program has been approved for a total of 10.75 contact hours of continuing education credit toward fulfillment of the requirements of ASHRM designations of Fellow (FASHRM) and Distinguished Fellow (DFASHRM) and toward Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) renewal. Contact hour credits will be provided upon completion of each full day of the educational program and submission of an evaluation.
