IQSC calls for abstracts prior to first annual meeting

It’s a data warehouse party! Abstracts are now being accepted for poster display and/or oral presentation for the First Annual DFW Hospital Council (DFWHC) Foundation Information and Quality Services Center (IQSC) Educational Event on November 16 at Texas Woman’s University in Dallas. This year’s program is themed “Healthcare Data: Descriptive, Predictive, Prescriptive.”

Deadline for abstracts is August 18. Authors will be notified of acceptance or rejection by September 22. Abstract topics should be applicable to healthcare data analytic topics including Storytelling, Visualization, Security, Data Quality and the use of Public Reported Data.

The DFWHC Foundation IQSC is specifically interested in receiving abstracts highlighting the utilization of hospital discharge data (A.K.A. claims data) from its warehouse.

Submissions are accepted from professionals working in clinical and non-clinical, research and development, management, business and technology in the healthcare setting. In 300 words or less, provide an accurate, succinct and informative abstract that represents your submission and/or poster. All abstracts submitted must be typed and well organized. Content should be written in complete sentences without abbreviations. References are not included in the abstract. The judging process is blinded and peer-reviewed.

Please submit abstracts to Theresa Mendoza at tmendoza@dfwhcfoundation.org. For event information, please contact Jordania Lilly at jlilly@dfwhcfoundation.org. You can also call 972-717-4279.
