Hurricane Harvey – How North Texans can help

Hundreds of Harvey evacuees have come to Dallas-Fort Worth to avoid the damage and danger of the storms. Here’s how North Texans can help, with shelter, supplies and volunteer efforts:

Volunteer:
CITY OF DALLAS: Volunteers may be needed to help evacuees at designated recreation centers. Volunteers can register online.

TRUSTED WORLD: Volunteers are needed to help sort donated items from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily at the Trusted World central donation site at 15660 North Dallas Parkway in Dallas. To sign up for times, click here.

Provide supplies:
Supplies are needed for Dallas locations that are housing evacuees, including recreation centers.

Drop off items at a donation center at 15660 North Dallas Parkway (north of Arapaho Road), Dallas, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. The center is operated by the local nonprofit group Trusted World, which is working with the city and several disaster relief agencies.
