Free Educational Event: Nov. 8
“Healthcare Reform & Workforce”

Greetings from the Workforce Center at the Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council Foundation (DFWHC Foundation)!  We have an education opportunity coming up that we hope you will consider attending – Healthcare Reform and Workforce. How will healthcare reform affect our workforce and planning for future needs? How will reimbursements affect staffing? On Nov. 8 from 1-3 p.m., please join us in the auditorium at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children to learn more on federal and state healthcare reform.

Speakers include W. Stephen Love, president and chief executive officer of DFWHC; Linda Stimmel, attorney at law with WilsonElser, LLP; and Dan Hilbert, chief executive officer of OrcaEyes. Topics will also include new nicotine hospital policies, mandatory influenza shots, new ADA Requirements, NLRB happenings and overall implications.

Stimmel is a partner in the Dallas office and managing partner of the Louisville, Kentucky office of WilsonElser. Her practice focuses on healthcare and litigation. Stimmel frequently guides hospitals on issues involving day-to-day operations and delivery of care.

Love serves on the American Hospital Association Regional Policy Board, the Policy Committee on Trauma and Emergency Services of the Texas Hospital Association, the School of Health Professions Advisory Board, the Coalition to Protect America’s Health Care Board and the Master of Health Administration (MHA) Professional Advisory Committee.
