Foundation to host CMS event on EMTALA compliance



The DFW Hospital Council (DFWHC) Foundation in association with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) will be hosting the educational event “EMTALA (Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act): How to be Compliant” on May 6 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the main auditorium at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas.

Dodjie Guioa, a hospital program lead of the enforcement branch of the CMS, will serve as the keynote speaker. Questions should be delivered in advance of the event. Send them to Patti Taylor at ptaylor@dfwhcfoundation.org by April 29.
