Foundation to co-host “Health Literacy” conference on July 20



The DFW Hospital Council (DFWHC) Foundation is partnering with SaferCare Texas and Health Literacy Texas to host a comprehensive health literacy conference on Thursday, July 20th from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the UNT Health Science Center’s Medical Education and Training Building.

The event will focus on the “Healthy People 2030 Health Literacy Objectives and Whole Health.” This year’s theme is “Healthy People 2030: Health Literacy from Advice to Action” and will feature a loaded agenda with speakers to discuss health literacy, patient safety, the opioid epidemic, financial literacy, advocacy and maternal health.

Cost is only $25 with up to 6.5 hours of continuing education credits available to attendees.
