Employee of the Year- Accepting Nominations!

DFWHC Foundation 15th Annual Employee of the Year Event is rapidly approaching on April 26 at the new Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas. This is a celebration of dedicated hospital employees in North Texas. Each hospital has an opportunity to nominate one of their employees for these prestigious awards. The 2011 winners will be announced at the event from a pool of more than 50 nominees.

For 15 years, the Employee of the Year Luncheon has been the rare opportunity to salute the North Texas hospital workforce, a crucial group of non-management employees making a difference in the health of our residents. Nominees are selected by the hospitals and introduced at the event.

Nominees are separated into four categories including hospitals between 0-99 beds, hospitals between 100-250 beds, hospitals between 251-499 beds and hospitals with more than 500 beds. Two recipients are selected from each category and receive trophies and cash awards. Additional honors include the Community Service Award, Physician Award (recognizing dedicated doctors) and the Hospital System Award (recognizing employees working for hospital systems at the corporate level).

Nominations are also received from nursing schools for a student to receive the Rex McRae scholarship. We encourage participating hospitals and nursing schools in the North Texas region to submit their nominations. The deadline has been extended to April 8.
