DFWHC Foundation stands with AHA initiative to prevent violence

The DFW Hospital Council (DFWHC) and the DFWHC Foundation announced today it supports the American Hospital Association’s (AHA) initiative “Hospitals Against Violence.” The campaign’s goal is to focus national attention on ending all forms of violence through digital media to include tweets, photos and other online efforts.

A national day of awareness has been scheduled for Friday, June 9 when hospitals across the nation have been asked to stand together symbolically.

“We welcome other health providers, community organizations, including clergy, law enforcement, clinics and other volunteer organizations to participate,” said W. Stephen Love, president/CEO of DFWHC.

AHA and the DFWHC Foundation are asking supporters to share a photo online of colleagues and community partners holding hands with a short description of their commitment to ending violence with a link to the website. Photos can be downloaded and displayed on the website.

You can also share photos and messages on social media at #HAVhope.

Please join the DFWHC Foundation on June 9 as we all work together to combat violence.
