DFW Alliance to host Oct. 18 event on “Tele-psychiatry”
The DFW Alliance for Healthcare Excellence will host the educational session “Tele-psychiatry and Behavioral Health Outcomes” on Wednesday, October 18 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Brookhaven Country Club in Farmers Branch. Speakers will include Dr. Ken Hopper, a board-certified MD and psychiatrist; Dr. Mari Tietze, professor of health informatics at Texas Woman’s University; and Michael Etzel, a Texas Woman’s University health informatics honors student.
Tele-psychiatry is becoming an essential approach to the delivery of behavioral health care services. More than ever before, payers are adopting this unprecedented approach to healthcare. Learn from this demonstration about positive behavioral outcomes and economic potential for providers.
