Annual Summer Institute set for Aug. 8 in Dallas



One of the DFW Hospital Council Foundation’s most popular events, the annual Summer Institute is set for Tuesday, August 8 from 8:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. at Texas Woman’s University in Dallas. This year’s event is themed “Innovation and Technology in Healthcare,” with Julie Hall-Barrow of Children’s Health serving as the keynote speaker with the presentation “Virtual Health and Innovation.”

Cost is $80 and 6.75 CNE credits will be offered.

Other presentations will include:
• Patient Safety Benefits of Real-Time Video Observation with the JPS Health Network Telesitter Program;
• Big Data and Data Analytics – looking at the DFW Hospital Council Foundation Regional Healthcare Database;
• Innovation through Nursing Research with a panel of nurse researchers from regional hospitals and academic institutions;
• Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) Program being utilized at Texas Health Resources.

This CNE has been jointly provided by JPS Health Network collaboratively with the DFW Hospital Council Foundation. JPS Health Network is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Texas Nurses Association – Approver, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
