Three weeks until “Active Shooter Training” seminar

It’s just three weeks until the Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council’s (DFWHC) proactive presentation “Active Shooter Training: What to do in the Healthcare Workplace” on Wednesday, February 21 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas.

Hosted in coordination with DFWHC Associate Member Fisher Phillips, the seminar is ideal for hospital executives, employees and security professionals.

“Recent injuries and losses of life have made it imperative that hospitals commit to strategies that minimize the risk and devastation of a potential active shooter,” said W. Stephen Love, president/CEO of DFWHC. “We consider this an important meeting and with great respect to our hospital members wanted to work with Fisher Phillips to spread the word on what could be life-saving steps.”

This complimentary educational event will include Captain Dan Birbeck of the Dallas County Hospital District Police Department discussing the ADD – A-Avoid, D-Deny, D-Defend – method that may help you and your employees escape potential workplace tragedy. The lawyers from Fisher Phillips will also provide a best practice update for employers regarding workplace violence.
