Foundation hosts “Six Sigma” Yellow Belt classes
The DFW Hospital Council (DFWHC) Foundation hosted the Lean “Six Sigma” Yellow Belt presentations, November 6-7 at its offices in Irving for more than 30 participants to include area nurses, quality directors and pharmacists.
Patti Taylor of the DFWHC Foundation’s Patient Safety and Quality Committee served as official host to attendees from Baylor Scott & White Health, Medical City Healthcare, Methodist Health System and Texas Health Resources.
Representing Six Sigma was Stephen Griffin, who will present yellow belts and certificates to graduates in early 2018.
Six Sigma’s Yellow Belt Certification is a program providing insight into the techniques of improvement methodologies. The training provides introductions to process management and teamwork while enabling individuals to achieve objectives. Participants gather data and work together in problem solving exercises.
