DFWHHRA Scholarship Opportunity

The Dallas-Fort Worth Healthcare Human Resources Association (DFWHHRA) offers an annual scholarship to assist HR professionals pursuing certification for their Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) or a degree in Healthcare HR management.

The DFWHHRA is an organization for healthcare human resources professionals encompassing hospitals, physician practices, healthcare specialties, recruiters and benefits/compensation. The mission is to promote effective human resources management by providing development opportunities and the exchange of ideas.

The scholarship amount is $1,000 and you must be an active DFWHHRA member to be eligible. Applications are due April 15. The award will be presented May 25.

For consideration, please complete the application and attach a resume and letters of reference. Please include a brief essay (250-300 words) of why this scholarship is important to you, other than payment for certification. The recipient must show proof of class enrollment prior to receipt of the scholarship. The recipient will be expected to present to the DFWHHRA their success and how the scholarship benefited them during a membership meeting or in an article in the newsletter.
