DFWHC Foundation’s “Opioid Discussion” continues June 17
The DFW Hospital Council (DFWHC) Foundation and the Dallas field division of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (USDEA) will continue its live virtual “Opioid Discussion” on Thursday, June 17 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., CDT.
This complimentary event will include two sessions:
1. “From Preventions to Treatment: Texas Hospitals’ Role in Addressing OPIOID Use Disorder” with Richard Bottner, Assistant Professor, Dell Medical School, University of Texas at Austin;
2. “Myths and Realities of the OPIOID crisis from a Law Enforcement and Regulatory Perspective” with Keith Brown, Deputy Director, Special Agent, USDEA.
The event is ideal for clinicians, physicians, nurses, healthcare workers, community health workers and community members/consumers.
This program is the continuation of a series of opioid education and best practices events over the next two years through the DFWHC Foundation’s Mental Health Grant Program.
