Foundation makes holiday donation to “Toys for Tots”

An annual holiday tradition at the offices of the DFW Hospital Council (DFWHC), the DFWHC Foundation and GroupOne Background Screening, staff members donated toys to the DFW Toys for Tots program this week.

A total of 55 toys were donated to the charity program, created in 1947 at the behest of the U.S. Marine Corps to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters in the community.

“We’ve had such great support from our staff members in donating so many toys over the years,” said Jennifer Miff, president of the DFWHC Foundation. “We are thankful this holiday season and wanted to show our thanks by helping the less fortunate children throughout the community experience the joy of the holidays.”
