You can check out Employee of the Year Luncheon No. 1 here.

The DFWHC Foundation’s 2nd Annual Luncheon was held Nov. 4, 1998 at the Wyndham Anatole Hotel in Dallas. Called the “North Texas Employee of the Year Luncheon,” three recipients were honored to include June Marshall, an advanced practice nurse at Children’s Medical Center Dallas; Kim Krause, a recruitment specialist at Baylor University Medical Center; and Karen McCurdy, a registered nurse at Texas Health Harris Methodist HEB.

The keynote speaker was the late John Powers, a playwright, comedian and motivational speaker from Wisconsin. Powers was most famous for “Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up?,” a novel and then play that ran for two years in Chicago.

On April 27, the Employee of the Year Luncheon will honor more than 140 nominees and present 14 separate awards. The luncheon has evolved into a celebration of one of the most valuable resources in North Texas – great hospital employees. You can register for the event here.
